    Excellent Customer Service

I cannot comment on functionality or effectiveness of this vest since I have not been involved in an accident and I hope I will never know its effectiveness, but I can comment on the excellent customer service I experienced. I noticed when I got my vest that I should have ordered Medium instead of Large. They were very responsive and even sent me a fedex label to send it back free of charge. I got the right size shortly after and I was not charged for another shipping. I liked the service I received.
Also on the vest: it feels comfortable and looks less awkward than what the product photo suggests.

Please wear one, or buy for a friend.

Bad things do happen, even to the best of riders. Sorry to be a spoiler kids. It isn't IF you will need an airbag vest, the sad truth is WHEN you need one, will you have one on? I have loved motorcycles for 40 years. I have had my share of accidents, both my fault and unavoidable. Now, it's all about risk management. Minimize risk by knowing how to ride safely, and wear the best protection. I wear the blacked-out Turtle pretty much every time I ride, except when the temperature gets over 90. It isn't bulky, and I forget it's on in about 30 seconds. The biggest problem I have, is remembering to tether it to the bike. It's not going to do a damn thing if it isn't coupled to the frame of the bike!

    1st impression

Only had it a week and haven't crash yet. It is one more piece of gear to strap on and store but it's easy with the 3 buckles. I've had it on two bikes. And after installation was done I haven't really even noticed it. The tether was in the way of some pockets but I to figured out how to deal with that. Overall seems well made!

    New Helite owner

I have had the Helite turtle for about two weeks. I have ridden approx. 500 miles in that time and I am completely happy with the product. It is a quality product that fits well and the extra layer is not noticeable when riding. I have worn it over both textile and mesh jackets and it is comfortable. I removed the back pad from both these jackets since I will be wearing the vest.
